Health Workforce in Nevada – 2025 provides current data on the supply and geographic distribution of physicians, nurses, and other health care workers in Nevada. This report was prepared by the Nevada Health Workforce Research Center in the Office of Statewide Initiatives at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
Drawing on a wide range of state and federal data sources, the data contained in this edition of Health Workforce in Nevada point to progress Nevada has made in expanding the supply of health care workers across the state, including impressive gains in advance practice registered nurses, licensed clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, and physician assistants. However, data contained in this year’s report also underscore persistent, widespread shortages of health care workers – shortages that impede access to health care for thousands of Nevadans despite an improving post-pandemic economy and significant gains in health insurance coverage over the past decade in Nevada.
